Unfortunately Kinnitty Castle hotel has only very limited accommodation for our wedding night. Please find below a list of local accommodation available in the Kinnitty area close to the hotel. If you have already booked a room in the hotel please contact Michelle or Dec to confirm. There are some rooms still available in the hotel for Sunday night after the BBQ if you are interested, please contact Michelle or Dec for details.

Directions

Please note: do not follow Google maps or sat nav directions that will take you via Exit 18 as this will bring you through the Slieve Bloom mountains which have very narrow and dangerous roads.

From South Dublin

• Take the N7 heading west
• Continue onto the M7 signposted for Limerick/Cork/Waterford/M8/M9
• Take Exit 15 on the M7 signposted Mount Mellick/Emo/Killanard
• At the roundabout take the 3rd exit
• Go though 1 roundabout
• At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the R445
• At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the R422
• Continue to follow this road and go through Emo and Mount Mellick
• In Mount Mellick you will come to a round about, take the second exit to follow the R422, at a mini round about turn left to follow to R422.
• Keep following the R422 for about 20km which will turn into the R421. Follow the R421 for approximately 10km Kinnitty Castle on your left hand side.
• To get to the church continue past the Castle and follow the R421 until you get to Kinnitty Village (approx 1km).
• Once you get to the Village turn right onto the R440 , St Flannans church is about 250m on the right.

From North Dublin

• Take the N4 heading west and continue onto the M4 (signposted Sligo/Westport Galway)
• Keep left to merge onto the M6 (signposted Galway/Althone)
• At junction 5 (approx 29km) take the N52 exit towards Tullamore
• At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto N52
• Keep following the N52 going through 4 roundabouts
• After 16 km you will get to a roundabout, take the 1st exit onto R421
• After 13 km turn right to stay on the R421
• Follow the R421 for 10km then turn right onto the R440 after 250M turn right.
• St Flannans Church will be on your right

From the South (M8/M7)

• Take the M8 heading North, follow until you merge with the M7.
• Take exit 17 on the M7
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the R423 towards Portlaoise
• Go straight through one roundabout
• At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N80
• Continue on the N80 to Mountmellick
• At the next roundabout take the 1st Exit onto the R445
• In Mountmellick turn left on to Market Street
• At the next mini roundabout turn left to follow to R422.
• Keep fpllowing the R422 for about 20km which will turn into the R421. Follow the R421 for approximately 10km Kinnitty Castle on your left hand side.
• To get to the church continue past the Castle and follow the R421 until you get to Kinnitty Village (approx 1km).
• Once you get to the Village turn right onto the R440 , St Flannans church is about 250m on the right.

From the South (M8/N62)

• Alternatively you can take the M8 to Junction Horse and Jockey
• At the round about take the first exit onto the N62, go through 1 roundabout
• After 7 km turn left onto Liberty Square/N62/N75
• Take the 1st right onto Liberty Square/N62 Continue to follow N62
• Turn right onto Cuchulain Road/N62
• Turn left onto Brittas Road/N62 Continue to follow N62
• After 13.5 km Turn right to stay on N62
• After 15km turn left to stay on the N62 - go through 2 roundabouts
• After 4.3km turn right onto Castle Street/N62
• Take the 1st left onto Church Street/N62
• Take the 1st left onto Lourdes Road/N62
• Take the 1st right onto R421
• Continue on the R421 for about 20km
• Turn right on to the R440
• Continue into Kinnitty, St Flannans Church will be on your left
